Yes, AnkiApp can import decks from spreadsheet files, in CSV (comma-separated value) format, which can be exported from a wide variety of software. AnkiApp additionally supports including sounds and images in these decks, by referencing those files from the CSV, and putting them all together in a .zip file.
To use this feature, open the app, navigate to "New" deck and choose the "Import Decks" option. Carefully follow the directions regarding column structure to ensure there are no errors when importing.
To save an Excel spreadsheet as CSV, please see http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/excel-help/import-or-export-text-txt-or-csv-files-HP010099725.aspx.
Make sure the .CSV is exported/saved in UTF-8 encoding to preserve international character support.
